Meltem is the Chief Strategy Officer of CoinShares, a London and New York-based financial services business specializing in alternative assets. CoinShares manages roughly five billion dollars in assets on behalf of its global clientele. Before joining CoinShares, Meltem was associated with the Digital Currency Group joining in 2015 as Director of Development. At Digital Currency Group, one of the world’s leading crypto investment firms, Meltem was introduced to the industry. Meltem has also been associated with the World Economic Forum, where she currently co-chairs the cryptocurrency council. In addition, Meltem has experience as an analyst, a corporate treasury advising firm, and a sought-after conference speaker. Meltem graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2009 and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management with a master’s degree in business administration in 2015. Meltem also produces a weekly podcast and organizes the Crypto Springs conference in Palm Springs every year.
