Elizabeth is the co-founder and CEO of Lightning Labs and is an open-internet advocate, educator, and blockchain entrepreneur. Lightning Labs is a payment platform designed to offer fast and private transactions available to anyone. In addition, the firm is developing a “second layer” protocol that runs on top of the blockchain and promises to improve transaction efficiency and scalability. Elizabeth is also a fellow at Coin Center, a non-profit research and advocacy organization focused on cryptocurrencies and decentralized technology policy concerns. She also serves as an advisor to Chia, a ‘sustainable’ blockchain business. Elizabeth has worked in numerous locations worldwide and is fluent in four languages.
