Catherine is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Ark Investment, responsible for creating ARK’s philosophy and investment strategy. Catherine is a long-time supporter of Bitcoin and blockchain-based innovation. Catherine hails from Los Angeles, California, and graduated from Southern California with a degree in economics and finance. During college, Catherine was an assistant economist for the Capital Group and went on to join Jennison as Managing Director. Shortly after leaving, Catherine worked at AllianceBernstein, where she became the Chief Investment Officer. Catherine founded ARK in 2014 and was listed as 80th on Forbes list of America’s richest self-made women.
