Alakanani is a passionate bitcoin advocate and instructor from Botswana, Africa. Alakanani holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities and a postgraduate certificate in education. With a decade of expertise in education, Alakanani became Botswana’s first bitcoin evangelist, starting with a successful inaugural bitcoin meeting in October 2013. Alakanani’s ambition is to bring blockchain decentralization to Botswana is fueled by the Satoshi Centre, Africa’s first blockchain-based fundraising platform. Alakanani created the Satoshi Centre, an initiative to raise Bitcoin awareness and collaborate with engineers and programmers to utilize blockchain technology to solve many of Africa’s problems. Alakanani is a tenacious entrepreneur who is optimistic about the new opportunities that bitcoin as a currency and technology can bring to the lives of Botswana residents.
