Neha Narula

Neha is the Director for the Digital Currency Initiative at MIT Media Lab and a Research Scientist. Neha has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from MIT and a master’s degree in computer science from Dartmouth. The Digital Currency Initiative seeks to push the boundaries of technological development with fundamental research while also providing light on the related advantages, dangers, and ethical dilemmas. Neha has developed fast, scalable distributed systems and databases while pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science at MIT. Currently, Neha is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Blockchain and is a TED talk presenter covering the Future of Money. Neha was previously a senior software developer at Google who helped restart the news aggregation Digg. In addition, Neha worked on Native Client, a means to run native code safely through a browser. Additionally, Neha created Blobstore, a system for storing and delivering petabytes of immutable data.
