Elaine has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, a Master’s in computer science from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Elaine is recognized for her pioneered work in low-latency financial apps that increase profitability and competitiveness by speeding up market reactions and improving profitability. Elaine is currently working for Global Financial Access, a financial technology company in San Francisco as a blockchain engineer. Elaine is also a columnist for Bloomberg Opinion, where she writes about various tech and -economic subjects such as “Bitcoin’s Anarchy,” big tech, internet security, and blockchain. Elaine has also written for American Banker, and her website, Elaine’s Idle Mind, features a diverse selection of her work. Elaine spends a lot of time constructing since she has so much information and expertise. For example, during Blockchain Week in New York City, she presented “How to Resist Censorship using Bitcoin.”
