Viola is a machine learning and artificial intelligence scientist working a Lemonade. Viola attended the University of Manchester, earning a Master’s in Finance, spent some time as a research assistant in the Stanford Lab of Statistics, then attended N.Y.U. to obtain another Masters in Data Science. After graduating, Viola served as an intern of the United Nations Data Science department with an extensive focus on applications based on the Deep Neural Network, including Recommendation Engine, Adversarial Genetic Networks (GANs), Natural Languages Processing (N.L.P.), and Python Database Management. After her internship with the United Nations, Viola worked for Zurich North America, partnering with actuaries in risk assessment and modeling, until recently joining Lemonade in June 2021.
