Tempest is a leader in health tech, a biomedical engineer, and a machine learning engineer at Microsoft. Tempest has spent the last several years as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Microsoft, where he has 16 years of expertise in health and bioscience technologies. Tempest works with R&D teams of data scientists and engineers to build high-scale A.I. solutions in the cloud using Python, R, Tensorflow, Keras, and other languages in Microsoft Azure’s Data Science division. Tempest has worked on medical technology from start to finish, from fundamental research through UX and product development, creating sensors, gathering data, and utilizing data science to understand human health better. Tempest has notably created low-cost soil-nutrient testing for farmers in impoverished countries, phone and watch games that assess cognitive function in persons with depression, and a low-cost product to monitor ocean ecology.
