Ruthe is a tireless advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion in the technology and engineering professions. Ruthe is the founder of the Last Mile Education Fund, which aims to disrupt the traditional scholarship model by aiding underserved students in technology. Ruthe formerly worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as a Senior Policy Advisor for Tech Inclusion. She focused on Obama’s campaign to remove bias in computer science. Ruthe has responded to COVID-19 by assisting college students who have lost their jobs so that they may continue their pursuit of a profession in technology. Her dedication to helping future generations of I.T. specialists navigate challenging times is well recognized in the industry.
