Regina Barzilay is a well-recognized academic and practitioner in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing as the faculty head for A.I. and a professor at M.I.T. Regina’s Ph.D. dissertation involves directing the breakthrough creation of Columbia’s Newsblaster, which can recognize and aggregate news from diverse sources that share subject commonalities and generate summaries of all the data. Regina has received several awards for her contributions to the industry throughout her career, the most recent being the $1 million AAAI Squirrel A.I.
