Kate is a distinguished research professor and co-founder at AI NOW Institute in N.Y.C., recognized for her vital insights on the political, social, and planetary effects of technology advancements on society. Kate is also the inaugural Visiting Chair for A.I. and Justice at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. Kate’s background is widely documented and has led her to become a policymaker and advisor at the White House, the United Nations, and the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, Kate is a co-founder of the FATE group at Microsoft and a member of the A.I. and Robotics Future Council of the World Economic Forum.
