Bin is a well-recognized female artificial intelligence researcher. Bin obtained her doctoral degree in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and she is presently a professor in electrical engineering at the same school. Bin has published over 100 articles in various areas, including machine learning, information theory, signal processing, remote sensing, and neuroscience. Bin was a co-recipient of the IEEE Signal Processing Society’s Best Paper Award in 2006.
